Many students at Leicester's universities look set to miss out on voting against Labour's top up fees as a result of the timing of the Leicester South by-election.

The Liberal Democrats, who are opposed to Labour's top up fees plans, have set up a link from their website at www.leicester-libdems.org.uk to allow people to register on line for a postal vote. However, as the by-election is likely to be called very quickly the Lib Dems have pointed out that students shouldn't delay in registering for their postal vote.
