BBC Radio Leicester General Election Debate - Nitesh Dave (Leicester East Candidate) represented the Liberal Democrats
Our Candidate in Leicester East, Nitesh Dave, reperesented the Liberal Democrats at a BBC Radio Leicester General Election debate, yesterday, Sunday 28th May. The debate focused on issues that affected people from BAME communities in Leicestershire.
Listeners were invited to pose questions to the panel which also included respresentatives from the other four parties.
Nitesh answered questions about the Liberal Democrats policies on education funding, on housing and on tackling the rise in hate crime following the referendum.
Nitesh strongly criticised the Tories planned "Dementia Tax" and suggested it would cause the same damage to Theresa May as the "Poll Tax" did to Margaret Thatcher.
In summing up Nitesh made a passionate plea to the electorate choose an open, outward looking country and to help change Britain's future.
