Millions extra ploughed back into front-line Council Services

Liberal Democrat led Leicester City Council has just approved a Council Tax increase which is believed to be one of the lowest in Country, an inflation level increase of 2.6%. The budget also puts much needed resources into front-line services.

Council Leader, Roger Blackmore (Lib Dem) said, "The people of Leicester have got a good deal from this budget, not only have we kept tax low, but we have extra investment worth millions of pounds back into front-line services"

Finance Boss, Peter Coley (Lib Dem) said, "This is the second year running we have kept our Council Tax at the same rate as inflation"
