Bus cuts update

Following a statement from the County Council about the reconsidering options for changes to Bus routes in the County, in the light of 1500 consultation responses, Bill Boulter CC a member of the Bus panel had the following to say:
"We are pleased that resident's views have been taken into account and that a revised policy is now being developed which will better balance the needs of the community with the Councils Cabinet's desire to make savings.
As one of two Lib Dems on the panel, we have consistently stated that we were not convinced by the original proposals to cut bus routes in rural areas and that the views of the public where key to any new policy."
