Castle Ward: Leicester City Centre. Leicester City Council plan to buy two properties to make way for street revamp

Leicester City Council have announced plans to buy two properties in Leicester's Horsefair Street. For the sum of £1.1million pounds the Authority will purchase 11 and 15 Horsefair Street.

15 Horsefair Street, currently vacant will be demolished to make way for a more open space and pedestrian link between Town Hall Square and Leicester Market.

It is hoped to to address anti-social behaviour in the area around Dolphin Square.
