Bridge Repair Work to start on 20th May

Maintenance work on the Coleman Road bridge will begin in ten days time, on the 20th May.

The work is expected to last 10 weeks and will be done in two phases. During the first phase, improvements will be made to the slip road and section of bridge beneath it. The slip road will be closed at the bridge, but access is allowed to the neighbouring properties.

In the second phase, Coleman Road will be closed at the bridge, and the improved slip road will become a temporary route for traffic. Northbound traffic will be able to use the route, while southbound traffic will be diverted to alternative routes. Parking and loading on the slip road will be restricted during the repair work.

Letters are already being sent out to businesses and residents giving them advance warning, signs are also being put up on affected roads.
