Dale Keeling inspects the Council's handy work

Freemen Ward Lib Dem Councillor Dale Keeling is investigating why a local disabled woman had her walk-in shower door repaired by the City Council with just electric tape!

The shower door in question has needed a new hinge since October last year, however instead of replacing the hinge, council workmen used electric tape to secure the door - months later the tape is still there and still no sign of a hinge.

The disabled lady told Dale Keeling, "I thought using the tape would be a temporary measure, something just for 24 hours but it seems that's it." She went on to say that the door had fallen on her when she attempted to have a shower. Councillor Dale Keeling has issued a complaint.

Update (22nd Jan): The Council have now said they will fit new shower doors.
