The opening of the Dawn Centre, the multi-purpose project for homeless people at Conduit Street, Leicester, was performed today.

The Newly built Dawn Centre provides, under one roof, temporary accommodation, support and advice on health, housing, life skills and education for the homeless.

The 42-room centre operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It also offers a range of activities and workshops for residents, including arts and crafts, life skills, cook and eat classes and anger and anxiety management workshops.

The centre replaces the run-down New Walk night shelter and will have have doctors, nurses and other health carers on site.
