Allegations of staff bullying and misuse of petty cash at Leicester's Landmark Venue.

According to local press, the final report by the City Council auditors looking into De Montfort Hall have called it dysfunctional and disorganised and had "serious failings" in the venue's management and administration.

It was reported in the press late last year that De Monfort hall had bust its budget by £1.41 million in the previous two years despite getting a subsidy of £1.05 million from the taxpayer. In the last financial year, the overspend was £570,000.

The long list of problems discovered by the Council auditors included:

Failure to follow finance procedures, Invoices being so vague it was impossible to verify whether goods and services had been received. Misuse of petty cash, employees families and friends being given free admission and allegations of bullying.
