Data on Children Lost

Labour run Leicester City Council has now admitted that a computer memory stick containing the details of children and their families has gone missing from a nursery.

The Council have no idea if the stick was simply lost or stolen and stated in an email to Councillor Peter Coley, Liberal Democrat PPC for Leicester West, that from initial information available, it was clear there has been a serious and unacceptable breach of our protocols around data storage and data loss.

Councillor Peter Coley told local press; "The administration has got to make sure that this doesn't happen again."

An investigation has been launched and council staff were yesterday trying to contact all families affected.
