Frosty morning? Keep your car locked!

Campaigner Nicola Jane Henfrey sends a warning to New Parks residents.

Nicola said, "Police are warning motorists not to leave cars while their engines are running when they defrost their cars, this comes after three vehicles were stolen in the last few days." She went on to say, even though the vehicles stolen were in Leicestershire its a crime that can easily spreed to New Parks which is on the outer boarder of Leicester.

The Police state that most car thieves are opportunists however others take advantage of the cold weather and are actively on the look out for an easy target.

Nicola said, "Do also keep in mind that if your car is stolen in this way you might not be covered by your insurance company."
