A vast amount of fly tipping has taken place in the spinney area between Gorse Hill Farm and Groby Road.

This pleasant area is used for walking etc by local residents, however the footpath has been cut off lately by the amount of rubbish that had been dumped.

Leicester City Council have now removed the rubbish and erected concrete bollards to prevent the culprits from striking again.

Cllr Phyllis Green the councillor for Fosse said, "If anyone sees vans or lorries dumping, please contact either myself or the city council's new non-emergency hotline, the number is 101."
