Had a missed Repair Appointment?

10 Jan 2011

Braunstone and Rowley Fields resident and campaigner Ian Bradwell, has had several enquiries from Council tenants asking if they could receive some form of compensation for a late repair or a missed appointment from the Council.

Ian explains, "As a Council tenant you have the right to have repair work carried out as set out in the Conditions of Tenancy. You could claim compensation which will only be paid if you have allowed access to your home at the appointed times."

Ian added, "Details of your rights are given in a leaflet called 'The Right to Repair'. Copies should be available at any Council housing offices, if you find they are not - Get in touch."
