Ian Bradwell for Leicester West; Election Communication Summary
The election on June 8th is your chance to change Britain's future.
Born and raised in Leicester, I love our vibrant and diverse city with its rich history and culture, but I am deeply concerned with the direction that the Government is taking us.
Recent data published shows economic growth slowing and prices rising. If Theresa May pulls us out of the Single Market it will et even worse!
As a Liberal Democrat I want to stand up for the working men and women trying to support their families. We reduced income tax by £800 a year. Now I want to protect your job from a hard Brexit.
Last June, Leicester voted to remain in the European Union and I will fight for you to have your say on any final Brexit deal, including the option to remain in the EU.
Fighting against Hard Brexit:- However you voted in last year's referendum, no one wants the cuts and job losses that Theresa May's hard Brexit will bring. That's why we are fighting to make sure that you get to have your say on the final Brexit deal.
Standing up for the NHS:- Leicester's Health and Social Care services need additional investment as a matter of urgency. Liberal Democrats have been working with experts to form a long term plan that would provide the funds needed.
Opposing School Cuts:- In the Coalition, we kept the Conservatives from attacking school budgets. Now they are unrestarined, schools face severe cuts. In Leicester alone, schools are set to lose £22 million from their budgets.
