Is Yellow the Future for Kelso Green, Eyres Monsell Ward, Leicester?
Following the recent satisfaction survey in Kelso Green, Eyres Monsell Ward, Leicester, residents were invited to make further comments on the completed project that has now been in use for 18 months following a successful petition to Leicester City Council in March 2010 by Scott Kennedy-Lount, Liberal Democrat Focus Team member.
Some residents commented they were concerned that access upon leaving the designated car parks had become dangerous due to height restrictions from vehicles parked on the same side close to the Runcorn Road junction blocking the view of motorists who wish to enter the main carriageway.
Along with team colleague Tony Faithfull-Wright, Focus team members in Eyres Monsell recently contacted Leicester City Council on behalf of residents on the grounds of safety and requested suitable ways forward to allevaite the situation including the possibility of yellow lines on the small stretch of the road.
The Liberal Democrats in Eyres Monsell are pleased to report that the Leicester City Council will consider the request and will be added to the City Councils database for consideration by Directors and Labour's Deputy Mayor's Office.
In the original survey no resident repsonded that the successful petition had made no improvement to the area.
