Prime Life is appealing against Leicester City Council planning departments insistence that they use their inner court for staff car parking.

The appeal will be heard by the planning Inspector at the Town Hall on Wednesday 19th July at 10am. Members of the public may attend and watch Cllr Joan Garrity speaking on behalf of local residents.

Cllr Garrity, the Lib Dem Councillor for Knighton said, "Prime Life has instructed staff to park their cars and the company's mini buses on the nearby roads. You will often see mini buses and cars parked on Goldhill Road, blocking footpaths. Parking in the area is at a premium and it is unfair that Prime Life should ignore their planning conditions and cause danger and inconvenience to local residents. They should be good neighbours. It is dangerous to drive along Knighton Church Road, it is dangerous for pedestrians, and it is difficult to use the local shop."
