Knighton Ward: Knighton Park Fun Day Future funding concern

Leicester City Liberal Democrats note the recent news which could hit funding to the Knighton Park Fun Day by Labour run Leicester City Council.

Leicester's Liberal Democrats note similar moves when Knighton Ward had Liberal Democrat Councillors at a time when Labour previously wished to cut the "Pitch and Putt" site within Knighton Park. The then Labour led Council claimed the "Pitch and Putt" was costly to run and never made money.

Liberal Democrat Councillors at the time led the fight to save the "Pitch and Putt" by proving a profit was made by the facility.

In 2016 why is Leicester City Council considering withdrawing funding Knighton Park Fun Day in the future and are other Wards Fun Days at risk of funding in the City?
