Leicester’s Workplace Parking Levy proposal needs Environmental Figures - Scott Kennedy-Lount

SKL
13 Mar 2022

Local Party and Regional Treasurer Scott Kennedy-Lount this week called for the Leicester City Council to be more transparent with its Environmental figures in its pursuit of introducing a Workplace Parking Levy across the city boundary.

Dubbed as a "Shamesless attack on workers;" there are no figures in the 73 page consultation document produced by the city council which closes today; nor in an Executive Summary from September 2021 concerning Leicester's Climate Strategy for the period 2020-23 figures for a variety of emissions and pollutants are mentioned for in the home, workplace, waste but nothing for travel and transport.
