Leicestershire Lib Dems write to Nicky Morgan MP on issue of school transport

10 Jan 2012

Lib Dems on Leicestershire County Council have written a letter to Nicky Morgan MP detailing their views on the current situation on School Transport in Leicestershire.

Nicky Morgan has secured a debate this afternoon in Westminster Hall of the House of Commons on the issue of school transport and the impact of cuts and service withdrawals within her Loughborough constituency.

Simon Galton, Leader of the Lib Dem group said: "We were informed that Nicky Morgan had secured this debate and we wanted to provide her with some background information and our stance on the cuts that have been made in Leicestershire. This is a difficult problem faced by large numbers of Councils across the Country and it is important that the debate focuses attention of providing sustainable transport for local school children."
