Lib Dems Councillors respond to final Terms & Conditions offer

16 Jan 2012

Lib Dem Councillors on the County Council's employment Committee have expressed their satisfaction with the final set of proposals for changes to the Councils staff Terms & Conditions.

Spokesman Cllr Bill Boulter said: "The final offer made by the Council is a good offer that has abandoned many controversial issues like Car Parking and reduced Sick Pay benefits. In my opinion, under the current economic and budget circumstances this is a reasonable offer, and I hope that Staff and Unions will accept the proposals.

I am pleased that Cllr Roger Wilson and I have been able to make our representations count, especially our concern over the impact of Car Parking charges on neighbourhoods adjoining Council property for example Glenfield near County Hall."
