Lib Dems present alternative views at County Tory cabinet

28 Jul 2010

On Tuesday 27th July, Liberal Democrat councillors used the last Cabinet session before the summer break to present their views on key issues affecting local people in Leicestershire:

  • Simon Galton, Don Wright and David Bill presented information about the Conservatives poor handling of Home to School Transport, a U-turn for a few and then they refused to extend the reprieve to all school buses.

-Alan Bailey demonstrated the need to be careful about cutting off resources to local voluntary groups and charities, and the detrimental impact these cuts could have on services that local charities offer vulnerable adults especially the elderly.
