Cllr. Coley: "The Lib Dems will be investigating how much this party political propaganda has cost the taxpayer!"

Liberal Democrat councillors took the unusual step of walking out of January's council meeting.

The decision was made to leave the council chamber after the ruling Labour group put forward a report which they claimed listed their 'so called' achievements for the City.

The Lib Dem group leader, Cllr. Peter Coley said, "This report was just propaganda for the Labour party and we believe it's publication by the council is a breach of the City's own rules and possibly also of the law. its interesting to note that they didn't mention voting themselves payrises year after year or their freebie trips to South America, costing the taxpayer nine grand! We will be investigating if an offence has been committed and how much this party political propaganda has cost the taxpayer!"
