Liberal Democrats National Day of Action in Leicester. Promoting Europe.

As part of the European National Day of Action by the Liberal Democrats, Leicester Liberal Democrats' Tony Faithfull-Wright was joined by local Chair, Alan Fox and local Treasurer Scott Kennedy-Lount for lunchtime engagement with the public around the Clock Tower in the City Centre.

At the referendum on June 23rd Leicester bucked the trend of the nation by voting for the UK to remain part of the European Union.

A succesful lunchtime where all leaflets printed were distributed; besides a variety of public opinion on the future of the UKs relationship with our neighbouring European Union members the Liberal Democrat trio entered into other points of interest raised by the public including Women and the extention of their retirement age and a discussion on democracy itself!
