Councillor Dale Keeling is backing local pensioners calls in Saffron to have the Meadow Gardens gated entrance to the Lynwood Centre re-opened.

The rear gate to the Lynwood Centre was permanently locked by the City Council months ago, forcing pensioners and other members of the public attending classes at the centre to walk the extra half-mile to gain entrance at the front of the building.

Dale Keeling said, "This seems a ridiculous situation, if the Council do not wish to keep the rear gate open for fear of vandalism, then they could open and lock the gate at the same time they lock the front gates."
