Scott says thank you to those who helped in the Scraptoft Lane crash on Sunday lunchtime. Leicester Liberal Democrat Treasurer urges cyclists to "Buy and Ride" with a helmet.
Leicester Liberal Democrat Treasurer, Scott Kennedy-Lount has via the Leicester Mercury on Tuesday 2nd February publically thanked those who attended "to his plight" after being knocked from his bicycle during lunchtime on Sunday 2nd February.
"I would like to express thanks to the members of the public and emergency services who helped me on Scraptoft Lane on Sunday lunchtime after I was knocked off my bicycle by a motor vehicle. Everyone had a caring attitude towards my plight and are a credit to their respective community and professions.
The speed I was dealt with in a busy A&E unit in Blue Zone at Leicester Royal Infirmary should also be praised.
I would urge anyone who has a bicycle to puchase a helmet if they haven't one already.
While my face looks like it has been in a boxing match, by wearing a helmet - which was cracked on impact - I almost certainly avoided a serious head or brain injury."
