Liberal Democrat Councillors have worked with local residents to secure traffic calming measures in Knighton Lane East.

The newly installed measures include a new pedestrian crossing near the schools, a mini roundabout and speed warning signs before and after the railway bridge, which had become a accident black spot.

Knighton Lane East traffic calming, where Sir Jonathan North & Lancaster Boys Secondary Schools are based, got underway October 04 and was completed early 2005.
