A new planning application has been made regarding 400 homes on the old velodrome site on Saffron Lane. These new plans have been re-submitted after the first application was given the thumbs down by the local Lib Dem councillors, many residents and the environment agency.

New plans are now on display at the Aylestone Leisure Centre.

The plans have been slightly changed, new houses that would of been overlooking residents back gardens on Shakespeare Street are no longer planned. Blocks of flats that were also overlooking residents back gardens on Saffron Lane have been moved back to give more privacy - however, they are still very close.

Feel free to look at the plans and let the Freemen Ward Councillors have your point of view, in order so they could put that view to the City Council Development Control Committee - Due in early September.
