Throughout this long and drawn out saga caused by Mr Parsons' refusal to act with integrity and dignity we have maintained the view that Mr Parsons should resign.

Despite continual pleas to consider the use of earmarked Reserves, a report to the next meeting of the County Council's Cabinet published by the Director of Resources shows that the Conservative Administration has now shamefully siphoned over £110m into the reserves whilst approving cuts to services and savings of £26.9m.
In light of Mr Sprason's admission that he had misled the County Council over his attendance at the Cecil Club dinner with Mr Parsons, we are happy to remove our story 'Scandal - Now Sprason's in the frame' from the Leicestershire Lib Dem website.
