Parmjit Singh Gill MP tables motion in Parliament in support of new translation service

Yesterday in Parliament, Parmjit Singh Gill MP tabled an early day motion in support of a new translation service provided by British Gas. Several other Members of Parliament have already added their support. The new service will enable engineers to access a translator who speaks the customer's language via a special telephone system. This will now allow engineers to overcome communications barriers with citizens who do not speak English fluently.

Parmjit to make Maiden Speech

Parmjit Singh Gill MP, Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament for Leicester South, today makes his maiden speech in the House of Commons. The speech, which will follow in the afternoon of the Queen's Speech, will focus on the needs of Mr Gill's constituency as well as celebrate Leicester's cultural diversity.

Leicester South MP Parmjit Singh Gill visited Sir Jonathan North Community College as part of "Take your MP to School Day". Taking an assembly for Year 7 students who started at the school in September, he spoke about what it was like in his new job as their local MP and how he first became involved in politics.
