Leicester Councillors Slam Misleading Statistics

Local Liberal Democrat Councillors have hit back at new statistics that imply that Nottingham has less crime then Leicester. Councillors say that the figures are misleading due to the report's classification of crime - which ranks swearing and urinating in public alongside assault and gun crime.

Home Office Official Visits Leicester

Louise Casey, Head of the Government's Anti-Social Behaviour Unit and "Respect tsar", is visiting Leicester today in order to promote the Respect Agenda. She will meet with Leicester City Councillors and local people to discuss various issues - such as anti-social behaviour orders, parenting orders and on-the-spot fines.
