Eyres Monsell Focus. Chris and Scott Advise: Same old Labour Run City Council.- Sale of Bishop Street Post Office a £600k loss to the taxpayer.

Local Eyres Monsell Campaigners Christopher Garner and Scott Kennedy-Lount advised residents n the wake of the City Council Elections we question if the Scrutiny Committee of Councillors before or after the election raised questions concerning the sale of the former Bishop Street Post Office as reported in the Leicester Mercury on 18th May. The building was bought in 2008 for £1.4m and sold recently for a substantial loss to the tax payer by £600,000. Can the Labour run Council be trusted with our assets?

Eyres Monsell Focus. Scott and Chris advise Residents not to lose their Right to Vote

Local Eyres Monsell Focus Campaigners Scott Kennedy-Lount and Christopher Garner reminded residents in their latest Focus Leicester City Council has already sent a letter earlier in the Summer of 2015 confirming who is able to vote at their address. The letter should have been sent back to the City Council with any alterations as soon as possible. If Residents have not received a letter from the Council or have recently moved into the property and want to register to vote, contact the City Council on 0116 4542000 or go on line at www.leicester.gov.uk and click the "Register to Vote".

Eyres Monsell Focus. Chris and Scott Ask: City Council Community Ward Meetings. Where are Eyres Monsell's Meetings?

Local Liberal Democrat campaigners Christopher Garner and Scott Kennedy-Lount are asking the question when will Labour Bosses on Leicester City Council let local residents have a say on local issues in Eyres Monsell? Leicester City is divided into Wards where each ward had its own Community Ward meetings. These are held regularly throughout the year. At these meetings the Ward Councillors, Police, NHS, representatives from various Council run departments such as Housing or Highways would be represented plus other Community Groups. These events give local people an opportunity to raise matters affecting the Community.
